Beginning in November 2022, Thirdspace are offering the 3rd Season of the Alumni Bookclub that will run over 6 monthly online sessions, open to all PCC graduates and current PCC students.
Our intention is for the Book Club to be a regular practice in reading and sharing. Each month we will explore a set of facilitated questions: making space for conversation and reflection and honouring our tradition of learning as a community. We want to invite an ever deepening understanding of human development, supporting both our work with clients and with ourselves.
Sessions will include a short orientation to the topic by the Book Club host, followed by time in groups to reflect on our individual and collective learning, before coming back together for a group review. We hope that this structure will give the opportunity for as many people who would like to join us to do so while providing the intimacy of small group discussion.
Attendance at all six sessions will count for recertification as an Integral Coach for the coming year.

Booking
Before reserving your place, please have a read through our commitments below.
- Facilitation of the 6, monthly Zoom sessions.
- A curated list of books that we think can offer us learning across each stream. We’ll invite contributions to an evolving resource library to support exploration of each stream.
- A set of monthly reflection questions to guide our in-session conversations and to help in preparing for calls.
- A dedicated Slack channel to support us staying in touch with each other, sharing reflections and maintaining the resource library.
- That you read the ‘core’ book each month in such a way that you’ll be able to contribute to a collaborative dialogue about it during the session.
- As we intend this to be a community of practice, we invite people to join for the full six months rather than for individual sessions.
- For a contribution of £144.00 (£120 + VAT). All proceeds from the Book Club will go towards funding other community activities and events. Please speak to us if you’d like to participate but find the fee prohibitive.
Questions
Who's hosting?
Amanda Visagie, Sue Braithwaite and Andy Rogers will continue to facilitate our Book Club with our ‘member of the community’ hats on. So while we will take up all the logistics, content curation and facilitate the framework and holding for each session, we also hope to participate as community members in each session, rather than being ‘teachers’ or ‘leaders’.What if I’m not ‘a reader’?
We hope that this Book Club will be an invitation to you whether you are an avid reader or not – while the reading part is important, the heart of our intention is to foster conversation together around what we’re learning, and the impact our reading has on us. By inviting a regular practice, we hope that being in community will support and hold us ‘staying in’ even when it’s hard or there are other things calling our attention. What if I miss a session?
In the case that you miss a session, we will ensure that the guidance questions and a sense of the conversation will be available to everyone who has signed up. Please note that in order to use Bookclub for your recertificaiton you must attend all six sessions.
